Nestled in the foothills of the Shivaliks, at the northern periphery of the state of Punjab, Kikar Lodge is India’s first private forest reserve spread over 1800 acres. Activities and Excursions :
The nearby Ropar wetlands are home and breeding ground for a variety of wildlife including the Indian Otter, Hog Deer, Sambhar and Pangolin, along with 35 species of fish and local and migratory birds. Bush walks and bird-watching are organised by the lodge with a trained naturalist.

Anandpur Sahib, just off the Ropar wetlands, is a place much revered by the Sikhs and is easily accessible.
