Khimsar Dunes Village
Located on the edge of the Thar Desert, Khimsar is a truly remote, rural and romantic desert town. It lies in the heart of seven dunes measuring 8 km in circumference and a water body in the centre makes it a perfect oasis of peace. In this beautiful land lies the Dunes Village which consists of rustic looking eco-friendly traditional huts.

The cluster of huts resembles the local village hutments known as "dhanis". Each 300 square feet hut has an independent courtyard and overlooks the water body with the sand dunes as a backdrop. The interiors are ethnic with mud plastered walls, mirror-work, handicrafts and rustic iron and wood furniture and there are open air showers with hot and cold running water. The dining facilities are by the waterside and atop the dunes.
