Karni Fort Bambora
Bambora, Rajasthan
Amidst the rolling hills and ravines of the Aravali range, 45 km from Udaipur, lies the magnificent medieval fort of Bambora. The legend of this Karni Fort has its roots in a battle fought between Udaipur and the Mughals in 1711. At this historic battle, the Sisodias fought valiantly and victoriously, and pleased with the valour of young Sanwat Singh of Salumber, the Maharana granted him a large fiefdom along with this majestic fort. Bambora Fort today is a heritage hotel and care has been taken to preserve its past character.

All 30 rooms and suites have been tastefully done up, each having a distinct old-world charm, style and exquisite furniture. Each room has a breathtaking view of the scenery around. You can enjoy romantic meals in the balconies which are attached to some of the suites.

The cuisine served is authentic Rajasthani fare. There is a beautiful marble swimming pool. Ayurvedic massages, yoga and meditation can be arranged on request.
