Activities and Excursions :
Morning and afternoon jeep safaris are organised to the park. Kanha National Park, India’s national treasure and Asia’s finest protected area, has a core zone of 940 square km. It is home to 22 species of mammals and 220 species of birds. This includes the majestic Royal Bengal Tiger, Sloth Bear, Indian Wild Dog, the elusive Leopard and the Hard Ground Barasingha.

A cultural walk through the village or a nature walk through the surrounding forest with a naturalist are other options here. There is also an Ayurveda spa, a safari shop and a library where one can spend the afternoons.
How To Get There :
The most common way of going to Kanha is by driving from Nagpur (270 km / 6 hours) and Raipur (225 km / 6 hours) airports. Kanha can also be accessed from Jabalpur railway station (175 km / 4 hours), which is connected by trains to all parts of the country. Jabalpur also has an airport which flights from Delhi and Bhopal.

A visit to Kanha may also be combined with the national parks of Bandhavgarh and Pench.
