Castle Bijaipur

Castle Bijaipur was built by Rao Shakti Singhji, the younger brother of the great warrior Maharana Pratap.

The castle offers 16 well-furnished guestrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms. The restaurant at the castle serves an array of local, Indian, Chinese and Continental dishes. The hotel has a swimming pool, table tennis, indoor and outdoor games and money-changing facility. Gala dinners can be arranged with folk and tribal dances. Credit cards are not accepted here.

One can visit the 12th century Pangarh Fort that is 13 km away. It is situated on the banks of the Lotus Lakes, which, true to their name, are filled with lotus flowers in the flowering season.
Menal Temples and Wateralls :
About 70 km from Bijaipur, Menal is famous for its complex of 20 Shiva temples that were built during the Gupta period. Adjacent to the ruins is an amazing gorge with a waterfall, which unfortunately runs dry unless there is a good monsoon.

The nearest airport is Udaipur, 130 km away. Chittorgarh is the nearest railhead, well connected with all major cities of India like Ahmedabad, Ajmer, Jaipur, Kota and Delhi.
